Zillow adds support for SharePlay on iPhone and iPad

More and more apps are adding SharePlay support now that it is finally available.

In a press release, Zillow has announced that it has added support for FaceTime’s SharePlay feature on iOS and iPadOS. Users of the app are now able to browse for homes and apartments in sync together while on a FaceTime call with the iPhone and iPad.

David Beitel, Zillow’s chief technology officer, said that the feature will be great for both those looking for a purchase or rental as well as the real estate agents working for the properties.

“Whether you’re shopping for a home or a rental, this new feature makes it easier and a lot more fun. The ability to browse together on separate mobile phones allows people to take their Zillow surfing to the next level. It’s also a great new way for real estate agents to connect with customers and guide them in their home-shopping journeys.

This new feature is the perfect addition to the suite of technology-based tools — which includes Zillow 3D Home tours and interactive floor plans — Zillow provides to help make people’s moving journey easier, less stressful and more fun.”

Zillow says that, according to “customer research,” 86% of Zillow users regularly shop for a home or rental with someone else. That makes SharePlay a fantastic feature for anyone who wants to house or apartment hunt but is apart from the person that would be on the hunt with them.

SharePlay for the Zillow app is available for iPhones running iOS 15.1 or later as well as iPads running iPadOS 15.1 or later.
