T-Mobile now covers over 200 million people with 5G

In a press release, T-Mobile has announced that the company now covers over 200 million people in the United States with a 5G signal.

The company says that it is able to accomplish this coverage because of its rollout of both mid-band and mmWave 5G technology. Mid-band is the key here that has pushed the company ahead of other U.S. carriers like At&t and Verizon.

Mike Sievert, CEO of T-Mobile, said that the current state puts the company two years ahead of its competitors.

“We’re delivering game changing Ultra Capacity 5G to people across the country at an unprecedented pace, putting us in a network leadership position with a two-year head start on the competition. And that gap is only getting wider as we speed up. Only T-Mobile is delivering a 5G network capable of truly transforming the smartphone experience – 5G’s first killer app – and that’s just the beginning. With Ultra Capacity 5G nationwide, we’re unleashing innovators across the country to build new 5G applications that will change the world.”

The company says that it plans to continue the rollout of mid-band and mmWave 5G until it covers more than 300 million people over the next two years.

The iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineup are both able to take advantage of the 5G technology that T-Mobile has deployed in the United States.
