The Book of Boba Fett (December 29)
While we wait for the third season of The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm is offering up this spin-off series that focuses on the legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett. Not only will we find out just how he survived the Sarlacc Pitt in Return of the Jedi, but we will also see him try to take over the crime empire of the now late Jabba the Hutt. Temuera Morrison returns from the second season of The Mandelorian to play Boba Fett. Ming-Na Wen also returns as his partner Fennec Shand.
Welcome to Earth (December 8)
Will Smith stars in this Disney Plus exclusive National Geographic series. He travels with world-class explorers and adventurers as he visits some of the most remote areas of Earth, from the bottom of the oceans to volcanic craters to the deep desert and much more.
What’s new on Disney Plus in December 2021
Here’s the full list of what’s new on the service in December 2021. It’s a pretty quiet month, but it does include the final four episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series Hawkeye. It also includes two animated movies that were released in theaters recently, but will quickly debut on the service: Ron’s Gone Wrong, and the latest Disney Animation Studios film Encanto.
