Verizon is currently offering two ways to save up to $700 when you preorder the new Google Pixel 6 Pro. The first option is to preorder the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro at full price, which will get you $700 off a second Pixel 6 or 6 Pro. This option is likely to appeal to couples or families who are hard-core pixel enthusiasts. The second, more accessible option is to trade in your old or damaged phone to receive an $800 discount off the Pixel 6 or 6 Pro. Either way, you’ll also receive an additional $500 credit to help pay off your monthly bill when you switch.

AT&T is also offering $700 off the Pixel 6 Pro with a $95 or higher smartphone trade-in value. So there are a couple of carriers to choose from if you’re looking to upgrade your old phone. Check out the options for yourself below.

The Pixel 5a launched just a few months ago, in August 2021, and it offers everything Google smartphones are known for. Solid performance, a smooth software experience, and some of the sharpest smartphone cameras you can shoot with. It also brings key improvements in build quality and battery life yet is somehow cheaper than its predecessor, the Pixel 5.

While the Pixel 5a typically costs $449, Google Fi offers an upgrade program that brings the cost down to just $15 per month, or $360 over two years. After two years, you can upgrade to the newest Pixel phone with a subscription plan and keep your Pixel 5a at no additional cost. Alternatively, if you buy the Pixel 5a from the Google store, you’ll get three months of Google Fi for free. That way, you can try out the program without committing to a two-year contract.

Google’s Pixel 5 was a long time coming, and it turned out to be worth the wait. It’s not the highest-spec phone on the market, but that wasn’t the aim. At $700 retail price, it ditches higher-end features like face recognition and the quirky Motion Sense gestures to bring you the stuff you love: a fantastic display, great battery life, and joyous software.

Here are a couple of options still available if you’re looking to get a Pixel 5.

Pixel 4a

The Google Pixel 4a takes many of the style cues from the Pixel 4, though it starts at the incredibly low price of just $299.99. If you want the best software Google can offer you at the lowest possible price, it’s tough to overlook the Pixel 4a and its powerful camera.

The Pixel 4a 5G is, in essence, the 5G-enabled version of the Pixel 4a, but that’s not the only upgrade. The phone has a bigger screen, a faster Snapdragon 765G processor, and a bigger battery. As a result, it perfectly hits the balance between premium and budget, making it one of the best mid-range phones on the market.

Again, this particular phone has been discontinued, but there are still a few deals while quantities last.

Google is axing the Pixel 4 from its lineup, meaning you’ll have to hurry if you want the newest Pixel flagship in your pocket. There are pros and cons to the Pixel 4, but it offers a camera experience that’s tough to top.

Stepping back half of a generation, the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL still make excellent choices for mid-range devices. They step down to a Snapdragon 670 processor but retain many top features such as Google’s powerful camera and integrated Google Assistant.

You might miss features like wireless charging and a water resistance rating, but there are plenty of tradeoffs that are worth the money. For example, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL use Google’s powerful 12MP camera, and both phones even have headphone jacks.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.

If you’re itching for a dose of Pixel nostalgia, you can still pick up a classic Pixel 2XL at just $127 right now on Amazon. The Pixel 2 may not be a top-notch daily driver anymore, but it still has reasonable specs and could well be used as a backup to your more recent Pixel model.
