The long-delayed and oft-renamed Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction finally has a release date of Jan. 20, 2022, Ubisoft confirmed on Thursday. The game was previously delayed to Jan. 2022 without a specific day after Ubisoft shared that it wouldn’t be available in Sep. 2021 as planned. Rainbow Six Extraction is also getting a price drop. Originally planned to launch at the standard $60 price point, it’ll instead be available for $40.
The game is also offering a buddy pass, meaning that if one player buys it, a friend can play it for free for up to two weeks. Rainbow Six Extraction is a spin-off of Ubisoft’s highly successful Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, which notably crossed over 75 million players earlier in 2021.
Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, PS5 and PS4. Like all Ubisoft games, it supports a free current-generation upgrade for any players that decide to swap over to the newest machines from Microsoft and Sony, so long as they upgrade within the same family of consoles.
