Nintendo Switch gets Twitch streaming app

If you’ve been wanting to watch your favorite Twitch streaming channels on your Nintendo Switch, you’re in luck. Nintendo Switch now has a native Twitch app, as revealed on Thursday. The application is 31 MB, so it won’t take up too much storage space on your console.

Despite the Nintendo Switch originally launching back in 2017, players haven’t been able to watch Twitch streams until now. With the Nintendo Switch Twitch app, you can do everything you can on other versions of Twitch, signing in to your account, watching streams and partaking in chat. Streaming to Twitch using a Nintendo Switch remains difficult, though it is possible if you’ve got the time and money to commit to a setup.

With this new Nintendo Switch app, if you’re curious about some of the best Nintendo Switch games that are launching, you can check out a stream to decide if the game is worth picking up. Instead of having to use your phone or computer to see Twitch, everything is now easy to find in one location on your console, meaning you can take it on the go or keep it hooked up to your dock and TV.
