  • Honor and Microsoft have entered into a partnership to develop AI and devices.
  • Honor will use Microsoft’s cloud computing in the development of products.
  • The goal is to make the customer experience smarter.

Microsoft and Honor have entered into a partnership to develop ‘ground-breaking’ AI and devices. According to honor, the move supports its 1+8+N goal strategy that each device is a component of a larger ecosystem.

Microsoft’s resources

Honor will be leveraging Microsoft’s cloud computing technologies in its products. Since it does not have adequate funds for its Research and Development innovations, Microsoft comes in as a partner to assist. This is not the first time Microsoft partners with another firm for innovative solutions. A few months back, a partnership with Morgan Stanley was formed to boost modernization of the IT environment. The end result from this new partnership is expected to make the customer’s experience smarter.

Message from Honor CEO

George Zhao in a statement during the ceremony said that they plan to ‘work with global supply chain partners to create a world-class product experience.’ He is hopeful that the partnership will create an interconnection for everyone globally.

MagicBook V14

Users can hold their breath as there is an upcoming MagicBook V 14 which will be the first laptop in collaboration with Microsoft and Honor. The laptop will run Windows 11.

The MagicBook will be a first in the V series of Honor laptops expected to be released in the market. Although the full specs are yet to be revealed, we know it is a 14 inch display. Rumors also suggest that there will be two 5Mp cameras; front and back – something that will be new in laptops.

No further information is available on the first device so we wait for the official reveal expected on September 26 a few days before the official release of Windows 11.

We assume Honor will divulge more details on the same during the official announcement as details about the partnership are still not in full.
