In addition to giving the Microsoft Store a facelift in Windows 11, the company is continuing to add utility the software via new online sessions intended to educate small businesses in the field of cyber security.
With October being National Cybersecurity Awareness Month the new cybersecurity training sessions come at an opportune time for small businesses looking to beef up their knowledge and execution of security strategies that include:
- Consider passwordless authentication for convenient and faster sign-ins, Helpdesk savings from password reset requests, phishing-resistant credentials that reduce risk of compromise by > 99.9% and more. The risks now outweigh the benefits when it comes to passwords!
- Keep all software up to date to reduce your online risk when you use your computer at home. While this seems quite simple, you may be surprised to learn the Kaspersky Global Corporate IT Security Risks Survey reported 47% of organizations use a form of outdated technology.

Microsoft’s cybersecurity training begins as early as tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. EST and the 60 min session will cover:
- Understand how to make your business more secure.
- Find the Microsoft Security Center and set up Windows Hello and two-step verification.
- Detect, analyze, and remediate phishing attempts.
- Collaborate and keep data safe with OneDrive cloud storage.
