One of Spotify’s newest features is the ability to block other users. Blocking someone revokes their access to your Spotify page, playlists, and activity.
This feature has been highly requested for years. Before, when you wanted to block someone on Spotify, you had to go through an extensive process and reach out to Spotify customer service. That is no longer the case, and blocking people is now very easy. Let’s discuss how to block someone on Spotify.

QUICK ANSWER
To block another user on Spotify, go to their profile. When you’re there, click the … button. This will open a dropdown menu that contains the Block option. Select this to block that user.
Step 1: Go to the profile of the user you want to block
Head over to the profile of the user you would like to block on Spotify. You can do this in a number of ways.
On desktop
If you are “friends” with them, they may show up in the sidebar on the right under friend activity. In this case, you can actually just right-click their name and select “Block.”
If you have not followed them, then they may be following you. In this case, open the dropdown menu next to your name at the top of the user interface. Then select Profile.
When you are in your Profile, scroll down until you see Followers. Find the person you would like to block from within this list.
On mobile
Press on the gear at the top right of the Spotify app to open Settings.
Select the first option at the top, which is View Profile.
From here, open your list of Followers.
Find the person you would like to block, and then click on them.
Step 2: Select “…”
On desktop
Select the “…” button underneath the name and profile picture of the user you would like to block.
Alternatively, you can right-click the name or profile picture itself.
On mobile
Once you have navigated to the person you would like to block, there will be three vertical dots at the top right of the user interface. Select this.
Step 3: Select “Block”
On desktop
The last step is to simply select Block from the list of options in the “…” menu.
On mobile
From the dropdown, there will be a Block option at the bottom. Select this.

FAQs
Can I block a song?
Go to a song, press the three dots next to it, and then select Go to Song Radio. Find that song in that specific song radio, press the three dots next to it, and then select Hide this song.
If you go to an artist’s profile, you can press the three dots near their name, and then select Don’t play this.
