Google Adding Four New Features to Chrome for iOS

First up, when you see an address in Chrome, there’s no longer a need to switch apps to find the location on a map. Using AI, Chrome detects addresses on a page. Press and hold a detected address to see an option to view it in a Google Maps right in Chrome.

You will also be able to create a Google Calendar even directly in Chrome without needing to switch apps or copy over the information manually.

Press and hold the date and you can then see the choose the option to add it to Google Calendar. Chrome will add all of the important information like time, location, and description.

The browser’s translation ability is also getting better. Previously, you could have Chrome translate a site into your preferred language. Now, you’ll be able translate a specific portion of a page using Google Translate right within Chrome.

Finally, the app’s Google Lens feature is also adding a new feature. You can long-press an image when browsing to do things like identify plants, get homework help, and more.

In the coming months, you can use the camera to search with new pictures and existing images on the Camera Roll.

Previously, Google also added Chome Actions to the browser to help you quickly complete tasks. In the address bar, enter the task you want. And then when the Action chip appears under the search bar, select it.

Some of the actions you can take include setting Chrome as the default browser, clear browsing data, manage passwords, open an Incognito tab, view you Chrome history, run Chrome safety check, and much more,
