Original article: November 30, 2021 at 1:03 PM ET: We expect Samsung to launch the next iterations of its flagship Galaxy S smartphones in February. Before the devices are officially unveiled, you can get your hands on many of the official Samsung Galaxy S22 wallpapers.
Below, you’ll find both static and live Samsung Galaxy S22 wallpapers. The first batch of four wallpapers certainly look legit since they feature the usual abstract and colorful designs we see from Samsung. However, the source of the leak, Android Police, makes no mention of how they obtained them. As such, we’re going to be a little more skeptical of them than usual. We’ve reached out to Android Police to get clarity on this.
Regardless, the Samsung Galaxy S22 wallpapers certainly seem accurate. They don’t differ too much from the wallpapers we saw on the Galaxy S21 and even the Galaxy S20 series. The one with the black background, in particular, looks very close to the official walls that came with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.
The second batch of wallpapers comes from Material IT Korea (translated), which you can see below. Four of the wallpapers feature colorful aurora-themed designs, which look to be in line with Samsung’s current design language. Two of the other new wallpapers show orange and pink light shining in from the top-right of the wallpaper. Again, these wallpapers would fit right into Samsung’s Galaxy S-series phones. Finally, the last Galaxy S22 wallpaper shows a variation of the smokey wallpaper we saw in Android Police’s leak, only this time with blue and pink colors.
The full-res files hint at possible screen resolutions for the Galaxy S22 series. The wallpapers are 3,088 x 3,088 and 2,340 x 2,340 pixels in size, which could mean we’ll see the same display resolutions for the Galaxy S22 devices as we did for the S21 line. The Galaxy S22 Ultra would have a Quad HD+ resolution, while the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus would stick with a lower Full HD+ resolution.
Finally, XDA Developers got their hands on six live wallpapers that will launch on the Galaxy S22 series, as well as four static wallpapers from Dex mode. We’ve compiled these wallpapers, along with the previous 11 that were available before, into one download link below.
