The Cricut Explore Air 2 is an excellent crafting machine for cutting and so much more. The Explore Air 2 sits in the middle of Cricut’s machine lineup, between the Cricut Maker and the Cricut Joy. It’s just right for many makers. Create just about any project you can dream up.
With my own Cricut Explore Air 2, I have made an Infusible Ink t-shirt, wedding invitations, three-dimensional flowers, a birthday card, a doily, and some paper cutouts for my classroom. I’m just a beginner and have barely scratched the surface of what this machine is capable of creating. Cricut Explore Air 2
Save over $100 off the retail price of Cricut’s “Goldilocks” machine now. Sitting in the middle between the Maker and the Joy, this will be exactly the right machine for many crafters. You program it to precision cut over 100 different materials. Use up to five different tools for cutting, scoring, and writing.
My favorite kind of project is Infusible Ink, something like iron-on except that the pattern is permanently infused into the fabric, so there is no way it can fade, crack, or peel off.
When you’re making cards, stationery, and other paper projects, you can use a “print-then-cut” feature with your regular printer, or you can use the Cricut machine itself to write in a huge variety of fonts.
Note that there is a newer model but not a lot of difference between the Cricut Explore Air 2 and Cricut Explore 3 unless you’re doing massive projects and want to use a continuous feed of materials many feet long. I’d still recommend the Cricut Explore Air 2 for most users, given the difference in price and features.
