Company behind MrBeast Burger to launch delivery-only TikTok restaurants

TikTok is going to open 300 delivery-only restaurants in the U.S. to try and capitalize on some of its viral food trends.

As reported by Bloomberg:

On Dec. 17, the video-sharing platform announced a partnership with Virtual Dining Concepts to launch delivery-only TikTok Kitchen locations across the country, starting in March. Food and recipe videos have become a key part of the site’s programming, with clips racking up millions of views. The company recently reported that more than 1 billion people worldwide use the platform monthly.

Virtual Dining concepts is the company that helped launch MrBeast Burger and says that 300 TikTok restaurants are planned at launch, with a further 700 expected by the end of 2022. Co-founder Robert Earl described the situation as a unique opportunity given TikTok’s one billion monthly viewers saying “It’s the first time there’s a brand like this out there—an audience of hundreds of millions of people.” From VDC’s website:

Restaurateurs, earn up-to $500+ profits daily by utilizing your existing equipment and staff to operate this delivery-only brand. TikTok Kitchen will be available online only thus not affecting your restaurant’s in-person dining and pick-up options.
The menu is inspired by the hottest food trends on TikTok. The dishes celebrate food trends made famous by TikTok creators. TikTok, with over 1 billion subscribers, provides a space for a wide range of creators to post videos featuring recipes and food hacks. These culinary trends have made the food space explode, and VDC has a menu that allows restaurants across the country to opt-in and become a market partner.

As you might expect the TikTok restaurants will serve viral food items from the platform on its menu, including the world-famous viral baked feta pasta. Prices will be “comparable to other Virtual Dining Concept brands” according to the report. The menu will change quarterly with viral items being added and some constant offerings.

According to TikTok, profits from the restaurant will go to creators of the menu dishes and to support promising cooks on its platform.
