Can’t connect to a game
Summary: If you can’t access the online functionality of the game.
Quick fix: As Call of Duty: Vanguard just recently went live across all regions, there will probably be server issues, as is common for games like this. You can check the official server status to see if the developers are reporting the problem.
The game crashes
Summary: The game freezes and crashes, normally booting you out to the home screen.
Quick fix: Crashes can be caused be innumerable things, though Activision notes most crashes will happen when playing public multiplayer. If it’s happening repeatedly on a frequent basis, make sure your system software is updated with the latest updates available.
On Xbox consoles, you’ll find this under Settings. On PS4 and PS5, it’ll be under the System Software Update and Settings and System Software Update sections, respectively. PC players will want to make sure they’ve downloaded the latest graphics drives.
