Once the COVID-19 pandemic began, Costello was unable to do stand-up. Instead of sitting around with nothing to do, he explored new ways to present comedy and started to explore game development.
Even though he had no prior background, he began learning from scratch. And the game is the end result.
While you’ll enjoy the casual gameplay, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there is a ton of comedy too.
You’ll control Birdbrain by holding your thumbs on either side of the screen so he can fly forwards and backwards. In the air, you’ll need to avoid everything from angry farmers and laser beams to eat as much bread as possible.
Birdbrain is free to download now on the App Store and is available for the iPhone and iPad.

In Story Mode, you’ll use skills learned from the main Arcade Mode to fly through five levels of The Collector’s evil lair to try to rescue Papa Birdbrain.
Birdbrain ’N’ Chill is a relaxed option where you collect super rare fortune cookies. Each one is read by a British character comedian.
