Fans who just can’t get enough of Star Wars can look forward to Star Wars: Hunters, an arena combat game headed to Nintendo Switch and mobile storefronts in 2022. Zynga released a trailer for the game, developed by LucasFilm Games today, featuring the gameplay mechanics players can expect.
Eight characters will be available to players at launch: Sentinel, Grozz, Imara Vex, Zaina, Aran Tal, Rieve, J-3DI, Utooni, and Sling Shot, with more characters due to come post-launch. Each character has a distinct playstyle that will appeal to different players. Players can choose one of three classes: Damage, Support, and Tank, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Star Wars: Hunters will be free to download and play for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android with cross-play features enabled across all systems, so anyone can join in. The game is currently undergoing a soft launch on Android in a few select markets, with an iOS soft launch expected for early 2022.
