Jon Stewart raises awareness of ‘the scourge of missed content’

In a new clip, Jon Stewart promoted the “thousands of hours of high-quality content” that go unwatched on Apple TV+, which costs less than the price of a “high-end cup of coffee.”

Ahead of the debut of his new Apple TV+ series, “The Problem with Jon Stewart,” the comedian appeared in a PSA-style video promoting the streaming platform — while poking fun at the fact that many users “don’t know how to find” it.

“Every year, thousands of hours of high-quality content go unwatched because good, hard-working people don’t know how to find Apple TV+,” Stewart said. “Innocent people who may never know the pleasures of ‘Schmigadoon!'”

The former “Daily Show” host then spotlighted the fact that customers can get Apple TV+ for less than the price of a cup of coffee.

“It’s a considerable cup of coffee,” Stewart added. “It’s a high-end cup of coffee. And a scone.”

Stewart attempted to battle the issue of not knowing how to find Apple TV+ by giving a complicated URL to the service’s sign-up page. However, a caption in the clip notes that users can just type in tv.apple.com.

Alongside the humorous clip, the Twitter page for “The Problem with Jon Stewart” also announced that the first episode of the show will be free to watch on Apple TV+ without a subscription. The offer will only be available for a limited time, after which “Apple wants your money.”

“The Problem with Jon Stewart,” which is a comedy show focusing on current events, will debut on Apple TV+ on Thursday, Sept. 30.

Back in July, Apple teased the show with a clip mocking recent trips to space made by billionaires.
