When will Apple’s Black Friday event start?
Black Friday officially takes place on November 26, though many retailers have started their sales earlier much than that. For Apple, it tends to keep its Black Friday sale to a minimum, offering deals from Black Friday through Cyber Monday and that’s exactly the case for Black Friday 2021.
We now have official word that Apple’s Black Friday sale will begin on Friday, November 26 and continue until end of day on Monday, November 29. As it has in previous years, Apple won’t be directly discounting products but will instead incentivize buyers by giving Apple gift cards of up to $200 back following eligible purchases. If you shop directly at Apple a lot, it’s a good chance to save on a subsequent purchase.
That being said, since Black Friday takes over most of November, we’ve already seen a ton of direct price drops on Apple gear at third-party retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, among others meaning waiting for Apple’s sale might not be the best option.
Should I wait for Black Friday to buy Apple products?
Shopping around this time of year is always a toss-up between getting what you want early versus the chance of it being available cheaper later. There’s certainly a value in the peace of mind of securing items on your wish list before the Black Friday rush where things sell out or go on backorder, though the FOMO around Black Friday itself is real.
The only benefit to waiting is the chance that the price goes lower, so the best thing to do is check which retailers have already kicked off their Black Friday sales, scope out the deals, and see if there’s any kind of Black Friday price guarantee. If you can snag a discount early and have a commitment from the retailer that the price won’t go lower later this month, or that you’ll get a refund if it does, then there’s nothing to lose.
